Maternity benefits are admissible to government employees only for two surviving children. Delhi Industrial Tribunal directed AIIMS, Delhi to grant maternity benefits to its employee for the third child which was conceived due to a failed tubectomy at the AIIMS facility itself. The matter was argues by our Partner, Rachitta Rai. The outcome of the case was covered by Indian Express in their 3rd May 2017 edition-
